Roger Banks-Pye was interior design director for Colefax & Fowler, the legendary interior decoration, fabric and wallpaper company founded in 1934 by Sibyl Colefax and John Fowler. His connection with the firm began in in 1977, when he joined the antiques department and embarked on a career with the company that spanned 20 years. Roger Banks-Pye died in 1996. Colefax & Fowler is celebrated for its distinctive style, a meeting of classic country house style and the romantic elegance of the late 18th century. The company’s interior decoration commissions range all over the world, from private houses to yachts and even aeroplanes.
