Adam Rankin is a veteran of the United States Army and a final-year PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia. His thesis explores the military service of Maori, Fijian and Tongan troops under New Zealand command in the Second World War. The Hindenburg Line 1918 has its origins in his time as a Summer Vacation Scholar at the Australian War Memorial in 2014.
