About The Author

Bianca Stam, a former kindergarten teacher and current actress and restauranteur, was born to an Italian father and a Chinese mother in Chicago, IL. Having spent her entire childhood in language schools, Bianca advocates for inspiring a newer generation of multilingual children. She speaks 5 languages herself: Cantonese, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Italian, and English. Now a new mother, Bianca has already implemented multilingualism into her child’s life. She discovered Bitty Bao with her niece and fell in love with the books, the toys, and the spirit. It aligned perfectly with her ethos and was exactly what she wanted for her daughter, Eulalia.  Thus, The Adventures of Siu Mai and Yu Dan was born.
