Véronique Vial was born in France and moved to Los Angeles in 1989. Her first celebrity portraits appeared in A Day in the life of Hollywood (HarperCollins, 1991). The exclusive staff photographer for the famed circus troupe Cirque du Soleil, Vial's first monograph Cirque du Soleil (Rizzoli, 1993) enjoyed enormous success; her next book on the widely popular circus was published in 1999. Her book Men Before 10 a.m. (Beyond Words/PGW, 1996) was a hit around the world. Vial has exhibited her work at the prestigious Visa Pour l'Image in Perpignan, and is represented commercially by Creative Photographers, Inc. in New York, and by the renowned Fahey/Klein gallery.
