Fatemeh Amiratashani is a talented children’s book author and illustrator based in Tehran, Iran. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in 2009, she took part in several children’s literature courses to enhance her writing skills. She particularly enjoys creating strong characters by exploring their in-depth psychology. In addition to being a writer and illustrator, Fatemeh is also an origami instructor. She believes that a large part of her creativity comes from making origami shapes.

After pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Painting at the University of Tehran, Iran, Ghazaleh Bigdelou began working as a writer and illustrator. Since then, she has worked on more than 180 children’s books—many of which have been featured in international exhibitions. In 2009, Ghazaleh was awarded Belgrade’s Golden Pen plaque for The Joke. In 2020, she received an IBBY diploma for An Umbrella with White Butterflies.
