About The Book

Bavaria’s sparkling lakes, fairytale castles, soaring Gothic cathedrals, spectacular Alpine scenery, and hidden villages of half-timbered houses make this a magical region. Not to mention the fine German cooking, oompah bands, lederhosen, and beer festivals that give Bavaria its unique reputation for cheery hospitality. Award-winning author Rodney Bolt leads you through the rolling countryside of the Romantic Road, and the craggy peaks and fragrant wildflower meadows of the Alps in this fully-revised and updated edition.
