About The Book
Part of a series of exciting and luxurious Flame Tree Notebooks. Combining high-quality production with magnificent fine art, the covers are printed on foil in five colours, embossed, then foil stamped. And they're powerfully practical: a pocket at the back for receipts and scraps, two bookmarks and a solid magnetic side flap. These are perfect for personal use and make a dazzling gift. This example features British Library: Hans Christian Andersen, A Figure Walking up a Staircase.
The Snow Queen is an original fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen, which was first published in 1845 in New Fairy Tales. Split into seven short stories, it tells the tale of a little girl called Gerda who must find her friend Kai, as he has been taken by the Snow Queen. This illustration is taken from the c. 1929 edition, with illustrations by Elizabeth Ellender and Katherine Beverley.
