This keepsake edition of The Book of Isaiah was taken from the King James translation of the Bible. The King James Translation is a masterwork of style and the most important book in the English language it has been the driving force in shaping the English-speaking world for hundreds of years.

The Book of Isaiah promises judgment and restoration for Judah Jerusalem and the nations and presume that that judgment has been pronounced and restoration follows soon. It can thus be read as an extended meditation on the destiny of Jerusalem into and after the Exile. Isaiah is often referred to as the fifth Gospel.
