About The Book

DISCOVER HOW BUDDHISM’S MERCY AND HERMES’ SELFLESS LOVE ORIGINATE FROM THE SAME SOURCE

“Life is a workbook of problems to be solved,” teaches Ryuho Okawa, a renowned spiritual leader and best-selling author. Just as the lotus flower blooms beautifully in mud, we too can allow our inner flower to blossom, no matter the hardships we face. God or Buddha never burdens us with a load heavier than we can bear.

The path to enlightenment begins by understanding that this world is not the only one, and that life continues after death. The challenges we face are opportunities to gain wisdom and cultivate selfless, pure love for others.

This love reflects teachings once shared by Hermes, the Greek figure associated with prosperity and mysticism, who taught that true love should be selfless and transparent as the wind, asking nothing in return.

Bridging Eastern Buddhist enlightenment with the selfless love found in Western Hermetic thought, this book presents a universal faith for modern readers—one that uplifts individuals, unites humanity, and imbues hope into every heart. It encourages us to live in a world of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.
