About The Book

It's Peter Pan meets Lord of the Flies colliding in an psychological thriller as a father races to save his daughter from the infamous urban legend known as the Floating Man. But this legend's very real! In this haunted Pan's world, Wendy better not grow up! In fact, nobody ever grows up... or else.

Single father Jim Hoke witnessed his 15-year-old daughter, Wendy, being dragged out of their home in the middle of the night by a shadowy figure. After the police investigate, Jim is named the main suspect in the case but is later left alone since no evidence was found and the case gets dismissed.

Jim gets violent and is thrown out of the police department. Without options, Jim takes matters into his own hands and investigates on his own, discovering that other teenagers are missing... all victims of the infamous Floating Man.

After James spends countless nights looking for more clues on his computer, he stumbles upon the Floating Man forum. There, a father named Smith has been posting wild theories about what actually happened to the missing kids. Jim meets Smith, who shows James video footage of what appears to be a very large person dressed in green overalls, sneaking in and out of one of the homes that reported their kids gone missing. The image is low quality.

Jim convinces Smith that they should go to the police. But they're rejected again! Jim confronts Smith, and Smith tells him that, like him, he also lost his son—Rufus. He has tried to convince the police department to help him but they don't believe him. Jim feels for Smith, and decides to join forces to try and save their children. Both men will go down a rabbit hole of lies, twists, and turns every step of the way.

And at the end? The hulking Floating Man, the monolithic, wounded myth made real... Peter. He is lord of his own never land... where grown-ups can never betray any child ever again.
