About The Author

Lindsey Smith is an entrepreneur and bestselling author of eight books, including the award-winning Eat Your Feelings.
 
She is the founder of One Idea Press and co-founder of Get It Done, a company specializing in writing, communication, marketing, and publishing services.
 
You may have seen Lindsey in places like O: The Oprah Magazine, The Lisa Oz Show, Hello Giggles, PopSugar, Cosmopolitan, Parade Magazine, Prevention Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, ABC, NBC, CBS, Today Show, TEDx Pittsburgh, or Talks at Google, an interview series of influential thinkers, creators, makers and doers.
 
Seven years ago, Lindsey created one of the world’s first online courses on how to write and self publish a book, grew that course into a million-dollar brand, and helped 1,000 first-time authors launch their book into the marketplace.
 
Since then, Lindsey has worked in every aspect of the publishing industry—from author, to publisher, to PR strategist and publicist. She knows the book industry inside and out, and is a seasoned pro who can answer pretty much any question imaginable.

She resides in Lancaster, PA with with her punk rock husband (lead singer for the band The Homeless Gospel Choir) and their beloved dog, Winnie.
 
In her spare time, Lindsey dabbles in stand-up comedy and enjoys wandering around her kitchen making up jokes and laughing loudly to no one in particular.
