About The Author

Jenna O’Brien is the author and designer behind Feeling! Magazine, a bestselling Substack publication exploring the intersection of design and joy. With a devoted readership hungry for alternatives to doomscrolling, she’s built a community around editorial concepts and vibrant design that makes people rediscover their inner childlike wonder.

Her experience owning a stationery store and subsequently becoming a middle school teacher revealed this incredible through-line to her life’s mission: making spaces for people to feel hope again.

Today she lives in New York where her creative practice is hands-on and exploratory. She rides trains across the city hunting for design inspiration, interviews independent business owners in their shops, tests recipes in her kitchen, produces editorial photoshoots in her tiny apartment, and chronicles her daily pursuit of joy in full color.
