About The Author

John Scalzi is a freelance writer and the author of several books, including The Rough Guide to Money Online (2000), The Rough Guide to the Universe (2003), and the science fiction novel Old Man's War (2005). He was also a contributor to Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Plunges Into History (2001) and Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Plunges Into the Universe (2002), and Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Plunges Into Great Lives (2003). Scalzi lives in rural Bradford, Ohio, with his wife Kristine and daughter Athena Marie.
