Agatha Christie (1890–1976) was a British mystery writer, whose famous characters included Miss Marple and Henry Poirot. She published 66 novels and 14 short story collections, many of which were adapted to the stage and screen. She is one of the best-known mystery writers of all time, and more than 2 billion copies of her works have been sold worldwide.
