About The Author

Diane Cypkin, PhD, is a Professor Emerita at Pace University. As an academic, she has published articles, authored a chapter in Courage of Conviction, and reviewed books for Martyrdom and Resistance, published by Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Israel. As a singer/actress, she has appeared in many Yiddish and English language productions. She has won awards for her teaching, university activity, and the highest National Award for Community Service: the Jefferson Award. These days, she is busy presenting her one-woman concert/lectures and teaching as an Adjunct Professor at Hofstra University. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
