Jeevanandham

Jeevanandham is a very talented traditional Tamil Hindu temple artist in Trichy in Southern India. He has been trained by his family who for many generations have been painting the Hindu Deities on the walls and ceilings in temples plus making traditional statues of the gods and goddesses for worship. Jeevanandham also leads ceremonies and pujas within his own temple each day, and he is an astrologer. Jeevanandham has a close spiritual connection to the Deities as he paints them and they guide him at all times in his artwork. As an astrologer he also knows the correct days and specific ways to paint each of the gods and goddesses. Jeevanandham is also well versed in painting portraits, oil paintings, Tanjore paintings and modern art.
