Katherine Chow

About The Author

Katherine Chow is a devoted mother of three, happily married to her husband, Josh. Born in Taiwan and raised in Singapore, Australia, and Texas, she is fluent in Mandarin, thanks to her mother’s Taiwanese heritage. As a former elementary school teacher, she has a love for children’s literature and finds joy in creating storylines that spark interest and wonder in young readers. Writing this book has been especially close to her heart, since she began her musical journey at the young age of five. Katherine plays the piano, violin, and pipa. She was in orchestra throughout middle and high school, and she also eventually joined the prestigious Houston Youth Symphony. In between the joyful chaos of motherhood and finding the best coffee shops, Katherine found a way to channel her creativity by starting a small business, Kindred Roots Collection. She now spends most of her days making concrete planters with her friend and business partner, Jane. As a self-proclaimed “crazy plant lady,” Katherine nurtures both her family and her greenery. She now resides in Colorado where she enjoys the sunshine and all the beauty of nature the state has to offer.
