About The Author

Priyamvada Mehra was born and grew up in New Delhi, India. She studied English Literature and Social Work at Delhi University.

After her move to Europe, what began as a painful introspection transformed into a story that demanded to be told. Her debut memoir, The Cost of a Promised Afterlife, was thus born.

Priyamvada is the founder of Gentle Boys Club, a nonprofit organization working to foster emotional intelligence and healthy masculinity among young boys in India.

She now lives between India and Amsterdam, delicately exploring the idea of home and identity.
