As an original member, he has witnessed five decades of thrills and awards including ASCAP, NAACP, BET, and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards, Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame induction, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Kennedy Center Honors, and eight number one hits, leading to seven Grammys and 100 million albums sold globally.
