About The Book

It is better to give than to receive in this Brothers Grimm story retold and illustrated by Bernadette Watts.

There was once a young girl whose only possessions were the clothes on her back and a piece of bread some kind soul had given to her. But even these few things meant much to others less fortunate than herself; and in selfless love, the girl gave away the little that she had. In this timeless tale recreated in detailed and gorgeous illustratives, those who do good are richly rewarded.
